Completion of Hettich
We are proud to announce that Hettich Jewellers’ refurbishment project was successfully completed on 20th January 2025, finishing on schedule. The project involved a complete internal gutting, a full refurbishment, and complex structural work, including altering the front façade and adding a new lift shaft. The building, originally from 1934, came with its own set of challenges, including heritage considerations and deteriorating walls.
A standout achievement was the creation of the new shopfront entrance, which involved months of temporary works, including propping steel beams and installing new steel columns. The building now features a luxury retail space on the ground and first floors, with a rustic office area on the second.
Collaboration with the design team, led by Elliot Design Partnership, and key partners such as Tillyards, RGA Consulting Engineers, and UK specialists made the project a success. Subcontractors like Astons, AIMA Interiors UK, Le Pelley, and Style Windows also played a major role in overcoming obstacles, especially with the complicated façade design and the logistical challenges of working in a busy town centre. Despite the difficulties, strong teamwork led to a fantastic result everyone is proud of!
