Libertation Day Hampers
This year, we are proud to be the sponsor of the residential Liberation Day hampers, helping ensure more than 800 islanders living in residential homes and attending Age Concern groups can take part in this important community celebration.
The hampers are inspired by the Red Cross parcels delivered by the SS Vega in 1945, which brought vital supplies to the island during the final months of the Occupation.
Each hamper has been carefully curated to reflect that history and includes local favourites such as Guernsey gâche, scones and Guernsey Dairy products, alongside traditional touches like loose-leaf tea and replica ration cards.
For many residents, these small treats spark memories and stories from a significant moment in Guernsey’s history.
We’re honoured to play a part in helping share that joy and remembrance with the island’s older generation.
We look forward to seeing the community come together once again for Liberation Day.
