Primary Engineering at Les Landes School
We are very proud to be supporting Les Landes School in the Primary Engineer Competition which is due to take place in June.
Our engineers, Ailsa and Eric have attended the school to help a group of very enthusiastic students build a tower for the competition.
On the first visit, we also had an "Ask the Engineer" Q&A session where Eric got quizzed about what he does and how he does it. This was followed by working out how to build a bridge to withhold as much weight as possible only using spaghetti. We looked at how the width of the gap made a difference and discovered how strong raw spaghetti really is.
