Rok kicks on for Ukraine

On Saturday 7 May 2022, 20 teams took to the pitch at Les Quennevais School to take part in the 'Kick on for Ukraine!' five-a-side football tournament and fundraiser. 

Initiated by two friends, Tom Stead and Jonny Seller, the event gave Islanders an opportunity to show their support for the people of Ukraine, whose lives have been devastated by war. The organisers received a lot of interest in the event and registered the full 20 teams within just three days. 

Rok entered a team and won the highly coveted 'Kick on for Ukraine!' cup. 

The event raised £9,500 for the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
