Rok is proud to be an industry adopter and sponsor of the Design Engineer Construct! (DEC) course in Jersey.

From the teacher's desk -  DEC teacher at Hautlieu School, Simon Forestiero's LinkedIn posts from May - July 2022 provides an insight into some of the unique and powerful learning experiences benefiting Jersey's students:

1. Classroom visit: DEC! students began to design a hospital outpatient facility and research room spatial guidelines and Schedules of Accommodation under the guidance of Our Hospital Project's Clinical Design Lead, Robert Etchell (Director and Healthcare Lead at Llewelyn Davies Weeks)

2. Classroom visit: DEC! students started their structural materials assignment with Alice Reynolds-Pryce, Graduate Structural Engineer at Arup

3. Congratulations: Simon praised DEC! students and teacher on display of outstanding DEC! work at Les Quennevais School

4. Looking forward to new DEC! joiners at Hautlieu: Simon celebrates the incoming Years 10 and 12 DEC!  students and the Head of Design & Technology, Mark Stavesey, who will also be teaching DEC! from September 2022

5. DEC! milestone: Simon and DEC! founder, Alison Watson MBE, celebrates DEC! in Jersey reaching 500 students

6. Friendly student rivalry: DEC! students get competitive with one another on their Formit models

7. A year in DEC!: Hautlieu School and its industry adopter, OHP, reflect on a great first year for DEC! in Jersey and encourages more industry professionals to get involved as more schools and students join the DEC! programme in September 2022
